After some heated exchanges in the previous posting about the reality show The Firm in NTV7, now a local newspaper unearthed a story of someone by the name of Dr Jahar running some con jobs before appearing in a Malaysia reality show. So are we talking about the same Dr Jahar here? According to the story, which I first got from Fayz of SyokKahwin;

A man by the name of ‘Dr Jahar’ is believed to be operating fraudulent activities involving a transaction of over tens of thousands of ringgits of shares. It is understood that the man who is from outside of Peninsula Malaysia has become the talk of the town after appearing in a local television reality show.

It is also stated that the man actually did not have any qualifications after dropping out from university in United Kingdom some 10 years back.

The groundbreaking revelation comes from a victim who claimed to be ‘Dr Jahar’s’ friend and acquaintance for 20 years who went to the newspaper’s office and made report about him. According to him, he lost RM80,000 after selling one of his companies during his dealing with the ‘Dr Jahar’. He has also made a police report against ‘Dr Jahar’.

Hmm…. this is quite a news isn’t it. It’s such a daring undertaking for someone who is involved in fraudulent activities and then later decided one day “I want to be in a reality show”. I can assure you that if I were to rob a bank tomorrow you will not see me appear in the next season’s Akademi Fantasia. But since this comes from a tabloid newspaper, let’s wait and see if such news is true or not.
