After being laid off from her job, a New Yorker by the name of Melissa Plaut decided to go for a completely new venture, which is driving one of those famous yellow New York cabs. She also started blogging and shares her every day ventures and experience in her blog. When she turned 30, her father gave her a digital camera, which she used it to snap images and pictures around New York from her taxi and published them in her blog. Her blog quickly became popular.
