62 Awarded MNRB Scholarship 2008

62 candidates have recently been shortlisted to receive the MNRB Scholarship Award 2008.

The recipients will be pursuing a number of Degree and Diploma courses across a number of tertiary institutions and universities, mainly in the field of actuaries and finance.

The scholarship fund was established in 2007 with the objective of producing more professionals in the insurance industry in the country. To date, more than 160 students have benefited from the scholarship award.

MNRB Group is also in the planning to expand its funding plan to include tertiary institutions from the United States, United Kingdom and Australia as eligible institutions for its scholarship recipients.

In this second year of award, students undergoing Degree programs will be getting scholarship amounting to RM10,000 per academic year, while Diploma courses are allocated with RM8,000. The scholarship, which covers full time studies at local universities (IPTA), will also encompass the tuition fees and living allowances.

In addition the academic programs mentioned above, MNRB also has been sponsoring students in pursuing Diploma of Malaysian Insurance Institute, DMII and Associateship of the Malaysian Insurance Institute, AMU. Both courses are conducted at the Malaysian Insurance Institute, and most of the participants are employees who are presently working in the insurance sector.
