AT Kearney Hiring for the Procurement Solutions


AT Kearney is a worldwide known management consulting firm. The company is a result of a split between partners of another renowned firm, McKinsey and Company (McKinsey & Co.), which occurred some 70 years ago. It originated as a Chicago-based consulting firm but has now expanded into many countries worldwide.

Today, AT Kearney and McKinsey and Co. are strong competitors serving similar markets and industries. Other top companies competing with them include The Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Co.

AT Kearney exercises vigorous recruitment process as the company is committed to recruit the best talents in the market. There will be a number of rounds of assessments before the successful candidates are offered a job with AT Kearney. Such move is necessary as the company is serving top multinational companies which require people with strong aptitude in the business and management consultancy and hence only top graduates from top universities with strong potential and proven capabilities are accepted.

Many of the AT Kearney clients come from the Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000. Currently, the company serves various industries including Consumer and Retail, Manufacturing and Engineering, Pharmaceutical and Health Care, Automotive, Supply Chain Management, Offshore and Outsourcing, and many others. The result has seen many companies overseas preferring to open up more centers and providing jobs in Malaysia, mainly in the area of call center and manufacturing. Major companies that expanded or opened up new facilities in Malaysia in the last 2 years include Dell, Hewlett Packard and BBraun.

The AT Kearney Procurement Solution (ATKPS) is a unit under AT Kearney that focuses on providing solutions and service related to supply chain and management. ATPS helps their clients streamlining and accelerating the sourcing and supply management process through category procurement solutions. The work at ATPS combined the utilization of leading-edge eSourcing technology and market-driven insight and research work.

ATPS is presently looking for Strategic Sourcing Associates and Analysts who will coach customer’s category team through the e-enabled strategic sourcing process. The candidates need to have a Business or Engineering Degree (and above) from a top university with strong academic achievements. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in strategic sourcing, consulting or/and purchasing experience.

Successful candidates will be based in Kuala Lumpur and serve regional focus in their work. Before being based in the KL operation, they will undergo a 6 weeks training program in the US before commencing the work.
