Bank Negara (BNM) is Hiring Big

Bank Negara (BNM) is the Malaysia Central Bank, founded 2 years after the country’s independence from the British in 1957. As the national’s main bank, it is entrusted with the task of overseeing the nation’s economic and financial system, issue currency and also plays a role as adviser to the government and influences the country’s credit situation. The Bank has been led by 7 governors, the latest being Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz.

Currently Bank Negara is hiring a large number of staff and executives to be placed in their main office (Jalan Dato’ Onn, Kuala Lumpur), and a few other offices around the country including Shah Alam and Kuching.

As for the general compensation, it will come in the form of salary plus some exciting benefits such as local and overseas travel, free/subsidized usage of Bank resorts and hotel facilities throughout the country, recreational facilities e.g. in-house gymnasium, badminton and squash courts and swimming pool, and many others.

You must also obtained credits in both Bahasa Malaysia and English in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, SPM. Degree courses preferred are Accounting, Financial Engineering, Islamic Banking, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance, Commercial Law, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics and relevant fields.):

1. Organizational Development

The division leads and spearheads the Bank’s strategic management, organizational performance management and program management functions to drive the Bank’s performance-improvement processes and transition. This is where the Human Resources play an important role and initiative to ensure the smooth running of the human capital development and management.

2. Economics

The Economic sector strategize and formulate the economic and monetary policies by conducting surveillance, forecasting trends, identifying risk and conduct policy research to provide the bank with pre-emptive actions that would promote sound and sustainable economic growth.

3. Supervision

The Supervision department develops, enhance and implement effective surveillance framework to ensure safety and soundness of financial institutions and to enforce sound practices in them. They also develop and strategies to promote a reliable, secure, efficient clearing, settlement and payment systems and instruments.

4. Investment and Operations

The division engineers the ideal monetary implementation framework and drives monetary policy objectives while contributing to the domestic financial market development. It also formulates, review and enforce foreign exchange policies to balance the competitiveness of the financial industry and contribute to the national stability.

5. Maintenance Officers (based in Shah Alam and Kuching)

• 3 years experience in handling and maintaining Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works in high rise building
• Possess Chargemen Certification (A4) from TNB
• Profound knowledge of plant and equipment and ability to maintain in an efficient manner by following routine maintenance procedures

6. Executive Officers

• A Malaysian citizen aged 35 and below
• Possess a recognized Diploma with CGPA 3.0 (Second Class Upper) and above
• Credit in Bahasa Melayu and English in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or SPMV

7. Personal Assistant/Administrative Assistant

• Possess a recognized Diploma in Executive Secretaryship/Secretarial Science/Office Management or equivalents, with credit in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mathematics in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or SPMV
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in a secretarial function, with good command of both written and spoken English
