MARA Scholarship (Biasiswa MARA) for SPM Candidates


Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) provides scholarship for SPM leavers and candidates who achieved excellent results. There are 3 distinguished programs introduced to cater the post-SPM candidates. The first is the Excellent Student Scheme (Skim Pelajar Cemerlang or SPC) which consists of American Degree Foundation/Programme for American Top Universities (ATU), International Baccalaureate, A-Levels for British Top Universities (BTU) and German A-Levels.

The second is MARA-UTM Express and the final is the UiTM Fast Track program.

Under the SPC programme, students will undergo a preparation program at the designated institutions (which is decided by MARA) for period of between 6 months and 2 years. Students who achieve excellence in the preparation program will have the opportunity to continue their studies in established universities in United Kingdom, United States and others.

The scholarship was introduced under the The Education Sponsorship Division which has the main role to provide study loans to qualified Bumiputera students to pursue higher education and training in wide range of fields at the higher learning institutions.

To be eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must be a Bumiputera and scored credits in Bahasa Melayu. You must also not being financed by any scholarship providers for the course and studies you are pursuing. Those who used to receive any other scholarship which was terminated can also apply. However, any remaining payment with the scholarship is the sole responsibility of the candidate.

MARA Scholarship application and opening is advertised in major newspapers.
