Dell opens up 20 job vacancies exclusive for fresh graduates to join Dell Graduate Attachment Program. The positions are based in their Penang plant. In the graduate attachment program, a group of technical graduates will undergo a 5 month training (2 months of class room and 3 months of on-the-job training (OJT). Allowances will be given in this training and upon completion of the program, the candidates who perform well will be considered for a permanent position in Dell.

It is a call center job and the main job responsibility is to attend to customer’s inquiries and complaints pertaining the technical products they are using e.g. servers, storage & other software systems. Once complain is logged, you need to attend to the problem, make analysis and diagnostic and try to solve the issues within the standard time frame given.

If the issue and problem cannot be resolved, it needs to be escalated to the proper technical team (Product Technical Team or Technical Support Manager) to analyze the issue in more details and come out with the resolution. All calls must also be accurately logged in the system based on the standard call center practice.

Since the job requires you to have IT knowledge, then you will know the position is mostly suitable for fresh graduates in IT related field with strong knowledge in hardware and software. Also, take note that the position most likely require you to work on rotation basis (For example, 3 shifts, where each shift you work for 8 hours). This is mainly due to the support nature of 24×7 and supporting the customers all around the world. And to work with Dell, you English must be tip top.
