Registering your company with the Ministry of Finance can be done through ePerolehan, an electronic procurement system that allows entrepreneurs and business owners to register their company as a supplier/contractor to the government offices.
The whole process of registration involves both online and offline execution processes. The time estimated for completing the online registration process is approximately one hour so time yourself well.
The online part is where you fill up and submit all the required information in the web, and the offline is the part you prepare all the hardcopy of the supporting documents, and mail them to the instructed address (read on).
The sections you need to complete include Company Information, Company Branches (if applicable), Registration Category, Associated Companies (if applicable), Capital, Personnel Information, Financial Status, Supporting Documents, Registration Payment Details and Declaration. Two registration categories available to choose are Contractor Registration and Consultant Registration. If you’re supplying physical goods and items, choose Contractor Registration and if your business is in service, select the latter category.
Once the Declaration Form has been completed, you should keep a record of the Reference Number for future reference. While the supporting documents should be sent to the following address:

The period taken for your application to be process is between 1 to 2 weeks, and upon successful approval, you will get a letter from the Ministry of Finance informing of your status. Once your registration as a contractor is approved, you are required to make a registration payment of RM450 payable to Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd and can be done at the same address as mentioned above.

The registration is valid for a duration of 3 years. Renewal of registration must be done 3 months before the expiry date. Additionally, there will also be services fee incurred – 0.8% on every purchase order not exceeding RM1.2 million, and a fixed rate of RM9,600 for amount of RM1.2 million or more.
