‘Jawatan Kosong’ Searches Continues Upward Trend

More Malaysians are turning into the internet when it comes to looking for jobs. Google, the world largest search engine, has found out that the search for “jawatan kosong” (job vacancies) saw a whopping 50% hike in 2009 compared to year 2008.

It shows that more people, particularly those in Malay language fraternity, is leveraging the power of the online presence to search for job opportunities and leads. Realizing the trend, more and more websites are set up utilizing the latest craze in job search, using the “jawatan kosong” as their web keywords.
