Salary Increase of the Civil Servants

The following is the salary increment scale for the government employees and civil servants.

Pengurusan tertinggi/Top Management (VU7-VU1, VK7-VK5) – 7.5 %
Pengurusan dan profesional/Management & Professional (Gred 41-54) – 15%
Sokongan/Support I (Gred 17-40) – 25
Sokongan/Support II (Gred 1-16) – 35

As an example of calculation, those employees under the Support Group II who are enjoying a basic salary of RM1,000 will receive RM1,350 after the new increment.

The increment will be applicable to permanent staff, contract, temporary (including replacement teachers) as well as short term employees. Additionally, employees with the Police (PDRM) and ATM (Angkatan Tentera Malaysia) will get 20% increment.

Advice from the KSN (Ketua Setiausaha Negara):

“Antara faktor utama Kerajaan bersetuju untuk memberi kenaikan gaji ini adalah bagi menarik dan mengekalkan modal insan yang berkelayakan, berprestasi tinggi dan bermotivasi dalam sektor awam. Semoga dengan pemberian kenaikan gaji ini, kualiti modal insan dalam perkhidmatan awam akan dapat dipertingkatkan, dan juga lebih ramai dari kalangan yang berkelayakan akan berminat untuk menganggotai perkhidmatan awam. Adalah menjadi hasrat Kerajaan agar sektor awam di Malaysia menjadi antara yang terbaik dan terbilang di dunia.”

Hopefully the new salary increase will motivate the government employees more and they will push harder to elevate the productivity.

    za man sekarang nak dpt keje kerajaan pun susah.. dpt pointer elok pun x menjamin, .xkan selama-lamanya nak keje swasta, gaji xsetimpal gan kelayakan,nak masuk kerajaan kadang-kadang tu main orang dalam pun banyak.camner la graduan yang dah bertahun-tahuan kuar, nak dapat keje kerajaan. xkan nak keje kerani swasta jer.tolongla!sesiapa yang berkenaan.ambil inisiatif beri peluang kami graduan agar dapat berkhidmat untuk negara khusnya sdalam sektor awm.

    st jer langkah nak galakkan graduan agar xkecewa sangat bila xdapat keje kerajaan.naikkan gaji sektor swasta,bagi elaun perkhidmatan,COLA, dan sebagainya sepertimana kakaitangan awam perolehi. xla ramai yang akan berpusu-pusu nak minta keje kerajaan.kiranya nnati swasta pun setaraf kerajaan. barulah adil!!!!
