MMU Career Fair 2008

MMU is one of the premier and earliest private universities in Malaysia and presently comprises 2 main campuses - one in Melaka and another in Cyberjaya. Today, there are some 15,000 students from diverse nationalities studying in various different fields offered by the university. The university will be organizing their annual career fair which will be held between 1 to 3 April 2008 (3 days).
The main objectives of the career fair are to promote the university to a variety of students and companies in Malaysia as well as cultivating entrepreneurship awareness. The event is also aimed to disseminate valuable information and opportunities concerning career paths, talks on entrepreneurial developments, and sharing success stories that will inspire others.
The event will consist of a few mini sub-events, namely workshops, exhibition, market and carnival.
a. Seminars, workshops and dialogues
Fresh insights on career and entrepreneurial issues which will spark interest among the targeted audience will be provided to audience. These series of events will be held inside the campus. Distinguished speakers will be invited from prominent companies as well as coaching and entrepreneurial organizations.
b. Exhibition
Participating companies will showcase their services, activities and objectives, which will create awareness and branding presence. Successful managers in their own fields will be invited to give speech and talks to aspiring students and entrepreneurs.
c. Market place
Stalls will be setup to encourage students to get involve to gain that valuable, practical business experiences. For students, a competition will be held whereby the highest earners will be awarded.
d. Carnival
The Carnival will consist of 10 different games stalls, competition, and activities that will make the event even more exciting among the mass. There will be souvenir selling and free gifts distributions to the lucky ones. This can also be an educational fair for students.
