I disagree with anyone who thinks that no degree equals to no job.
(note that in this context, no job refers to no amazing job that pays well, with excellent staff benefit)
If you have no degree, not even a diploma, it doesn’t mean you will have no job. You can have a job with only SPM qualification, if you know how to score a job in the market using your skills.
General perception for job hunting is “you must have at least a diploma or degree”.
However, the truth is most companies are NOT looking for candidates with degrees or diplomas. They are searching for rightful candidates that have special skills such as communication skills, interpersonal skills and intrapersonal skills.
In simple words, you need to have high EQ apart from having high IQ to score an amazing job in the market.
You can get excellent job that pays well, offers the best staff benefit such as medical benefit or housing allowance and other stuff that you have been dreaming about.
Most of the time, when you are hunting for a new job, you will get to see job ads that state, “degree in any field”, “diploma or degree holder” and similar phrases that indicate they are looking for someone with diploma or degree.
Of course, this will put off anyone without diploma or degree (including me!).
However, you should pursue the job. You should apply for the job knowing that you do not have a diploma or a degree because it is all about initiative to get a job.
You never know what the employers are thinking. Perhaps they are looking for someone like you! Give it a try before you decide to give it up.
