Maybank2u has newly introduced a convenient way for tax payers to pay your income tax to Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN).

The service is made available for those who own individual and sole proprietor accounts (Personal Current and Saving only, Credit Card account not applicable), with access to internet banking (Maybank2u.com account).

Online payment can be made for 3 different centers - Peninsula Malaysia, LHDN Sabah and LHDN Sarawak. There is also no limitation on the transaction amount (there is, but it’s RM999,999.99, and you won’t be paying that kind of money for your income tax).

Steps to paying your income tax with Maybank2u:

1. Log in to your Maybank2u.com account
2. Select the LHDN menu on the left
3. Choose the name of the corporation, either LHDN Semenanjung, Sabah or Sarawak. This will be according to your tax center location (i.e. registered address with the income tax office).
4. Enter your income tax number (leave the preceding alphabets in front, e.g. if your tax number is SG 115468880800, put in 115468880800)
5. Select from which account you’re making payment, and enter the following details (Payment Code), Assessment Year, Installment Number, and Amount. Click “Next”. For most of the users, the Payment Code applicable would be either 084 (Individual Tax) or 086 (Company Tax). As for the Installment Number, enter “0″ if you don’t have one.
6. Lastly, enter your TAC and click “Confirm” to finalize payment.
