Perodua has launched its highly anticipated new MPV, Perodua Alza, and is now primed to make its rival, Proton, red faced for the nth time. The newly hailed vehicle carries out the catchphrase “car one moment, MPV the next” which with intention to make the MPV an ally to small and medium family.
Perodua Alza is a seven-seater MPV which resembles (and inspired by) the Toyota Passo Sette and Daihatsu Boon Luminas. It comes number of attractive features, mainly for its premium version such as audio control switches, audio system with Bluetooth, four-speaker, adjustable steering wheel, foot pedal parking brake and so on. 90% of the components are locally made.
The country’s number two car maker also plans to unveil s special edition within the next few months, which is a sporty version of Alza that comes with full bodykit on the front, side and rear. Additionally, it will be equipped with GPS functionality, leather seats and tinted windows.
The .15-liter engine vehicle goes on sale beginning today, with 6 colors made available – Ivory White, Ebony Black, Glittering Silver, Medallion Grey, Pearl White Special and Classy Purple. The price varies between (RM55,490) and RM64,000 for the standard model and between RM67,000 and RM70,000 for the advanced model.

Since the new MPV was opened for booking, more than 3,000 units have been booked.
Alza is a Spanish word which means ‘rising’. And Perodua is positively convinced the new MPV will set a new record and break the sale of its best selling Myvi within one or two years.
