Program for Laid Off Workers and Jobless Grads


The Ministry of Human Resource has launched a training program, called Train and Place to eligible Malaysians, especially those who were recently laid off and graduates who fail to land jobs.

With the current economic uncertainty, the newly launched program provides a silver lining of sort to the job market, particularly those who are struggling to meet their end meets.

The training program, which lasts between 1 and 6 months, aims to provide a platform of training to job seekers in designated companies which would be appointed by the ministry.

Participants can choose the most suitable program for them from a wide variety of training schemes offered. Some of them include NIOSH Professional Certificate, 3D Solid Modeling, Accounting, Animation, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Hotel Management, English, Call Center, Entrepreneurship, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Relation, Instrumentation & Calibration, Industrial Mechanics, Sales, Wealth Planning and so on.

training-malaysia2No fees will be incurred to the participants as they will be absorbed by the ministry. Instead, each participant will be paid a monthly allowance amounting RM500 per month. During the program, those who land other better job opportunities can leave at will to leave space for other aspiring participants.

As a pre-requisite, interested candidates need to register online JobsMalaysia website at www.JobsMalaysia.gov.my. Application form can be obtained from the said website. Upon completing the form, candidates need to submit it to the following address:
