Sarawak Oil Palms Undergraduate Scholarship 2008

Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad (SOPB) is a public listed company with primary involvement in cultivation of oil palms and the operation of palm oil mills. It was established in 1968 through a joint-venture between the Sarawak State Government and the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC).

The Sarawak Oil Palm Berhad Undergraduate Scholarship is made available for students currently pursuing or planning to pursue undergraduate Degree or Diploma program at local universities. Courses applicable cover Agriculture, as well as engineering related fields including Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical and Civil Engineering. Terms and requirements:

  • Only applicable for Malaysian Citizen, with good academic results and qualification, as well as active participation in school activities
  • Enrollment of course must be on full time basis - both for Degree and Diploma, with each course accredited by LAN
  • Courses are undertaken in local universities within the country, and the candidates are not recipients of any other scholarship or fund

Each scholarship recipient will receive between RM6,500 to RM7,500 per annum, depending on the courses and field of study - this covers the course fees and living allowances.
