A total of 40,184 applicants who finished the STPM 2007 are to be offered places with the IPTA (Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Awam) for the academic session 2008/2009. 20 IPTAs are offering Degree and Diploma programs for the next intake to SPM leavers, STPM and graduates of MARA-UTM Express program.

Starting from today, students who applied for an admission to university can check their application status with the Ministry of Education through various methods including internet, hotline, helpline and SMS. Offer letters will be sent to successful candidates, while unsuccessful candidates can make their appeal within 10 days of result.

Checking the result will require the applicants to divulge the information of the identity card (IC) number, admission category (e.g. SPM, STPM, Diploma and so on), as well as other information (whenever applicable). The announcement of the result availability was announced by the Director General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Prof. Datuk Dr. Radin Umar to Bernama.

“Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Pengajian Tinggi, Prof. Datuk Dr. Radin Umar Radin Sohadi berkata, status keputusan permohonan kemasukan ke IPTA boleh disemak mulai hari ini melalui internet, hotline, helpline dan khidmat pesanan ringkas.

IPTA akan mengeluarkan surat tawaran esok kepada mereka yang berjaya manakala mereka yang gagal boleh merayu dalam tempoh 10 hari, katanya kepada pemberita di sini hari ini. - Bernama.”
