Shell Malaysia Scholarship 2013 now open
The Shell Malaysia Scholarship 2013 is now open for grab to Malaysian students pursuing undergraduate studies locally or overseas.
For local universities, the scholarship is made eligible for those embarking on a degree course (full time) at the JPA-approved universities around the country. Priority will be given to those undertaking oil and gas related degrees such as Technical Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Similar course preferences also apply for foreign institutions.
Some of the approved local public and private universities include Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Multimedia University, University of Nottingham Malaysia, Uniten and Taylors University. On the other hand, MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Texas University, Harvard, Cambridge University, Imperial College and University of Oklahoma are some of the highlighted overseas universities.
As a pre-requisite, candidates are expected to excel both in academic and extra curricular fields. Leadership and participation in outside activities such as community services, clubs and sports are some of the important criteria that will be assessed on the students. They should also not be recipient of other scholarships. Minimum CGPA for matriculation/diploma is 3.5; STPM trial should be minimum 3As and 1B; A-Levels forecast results should be at least 2As and 1B.
