Shell scholarship now open
Shell Scholarship is one of most anticipated scholarships awaited by students pursuing higher studies in their degree and surely will attract the best and the brightest students around. It is an opportunity to be hooked up with an established multinational company which later will provide you jobs upon completion of your studies. The scholarship is awarded to 4 full time degree courses either locally or in international universities approved by the JPA (Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam). Applications are open to those who are completing Diploma, Matriculation, STPM and A Levels.
The courses related are Engineering (Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical and Electrical), Sciences (Geosciences, Chemistry and Physics), Business Administration/ Economics/ Finance & Accounting, and Information Technology (IT).
To be eligible for the scholarship, you will need to possess strong academic record and a projected high CGPA (Cumulative Grade Pointer Average) or equivalent in your final examinations. You will also need to have good English skill in both writing and conversation. Shell also usually look for candidates with excellent leadership qualities and have active participation in extracurricular activities in the school or learning institutions including sports, society and clubs, and so on.
The selection for scholarship for both Malaysian universities and international universities will be made based on the stipulated criteria. International scholarships are awarded to the group of the strongest candidates.
If you’re applying, you can submit your application based on the latest semester results (for matriculation students) or trial examination results (for STPM students).

Unfortunately, I’m too old for this. This is very good opportunity to join and later work with Shell, oil and gas industry is booming right now.

how much is this scholarship?i heard it is about RM 7000++ per annum.correct me if I’m wrong.I’m wondering how if i want to apply for Petronas scholarship later on although i had already applied for shell.can i do that?by the way, right now, I’m in my final semester in matriculation.
I am not sure where u get the figure but if we’re talking about overseas studies it won’t make sense. Also, I am sure you can apply for as many scholarships you can get your hands to. What u cannot have is receiving funding from 2 different scholarships at one time.
I am just finished my SPM last year. So are there any scholarship for SPM leaver??
