Kelly Salary Guide 2008/2009

Kelly Services, one of the earliest and most established international recruiters in Malaysia, provides a wide range of recruitment solutions to its clients including permanent, contract and permanent staffing, as well as payroll services and outplacement.

Founded more than 60 years ago in Michigan, United States, the company now operates in close to 40 countries worldwide and provides employment opportunities to more than half a million people.

One of Kelly’s annual publications is the salary report or virtual handbook that helps job seekers to streamline and compare their salary expectation to the market pay.

The report compiles information on salary for different job titles, which are further divided into 8 different industries, namely call center; banking and financial; sales, marketing & advertising; office support; human resource; logistic and warehousing; information technology; and engineering and technical. Other criteria taken into account include the candidate’s academic qualification, years of experience and location of work.

Through the publication, the recruitment agency also believes that the employment market will remain robust in the next 12 months, barring major fluctuations in economic condition. More job vacancies are also expected to be found in manufacturing, information technology, engineering, services and banking, as well as in oil and gas, electrical, plastic and construction. Additionally, high demand of IT expertise also sees a slight increase in the average minimum salary offered to candidates.
