The HP & AMD Scholarship 2008

As part of the giving-back-to-society initiative, HP (Hewlett Packard) and AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) have teamed up to offer a scholarship opportunity to eligible tertiary students.

Called the HP & AMD Scholarship 2008, the opportunity is open for undergraduate (Degree) and post-graduate (Masters) students, below the 30 years of age who are currently pursuing their studies in local institutions within Malaysia.

Both full time and part time students, who meet the criteria, can apply for the scholarship program.

3 scholarship packages worth RM25,000 each, inclusive of HP Pavilion tx2520 Entertainment Notebook PC, powered by AMD processor, are up for grab. Best of all, the offer comes without any string attached – no bonding clause with the scholarship provider, while the payment to recipients will be disbursed on a lump sum basis, and paid directly to them.

Application for the scholarship, which can only be done online (certified transcripts and certificates, on the other hand, need to be mailed to complement the online application) is now open and runs until its deadline of 30 September 2008. Part of the online submission will require the applicant to answer a question with a creativity in not more than 150 words.
