UNITEN Career Fair 2008

UNITEN Career Fair is one of my best remembered career fairs simply because I had a wonderful time while participating in the event back in 2004. It was one of the most well organized events handled by a group of students (and staff coordinators) who were courteous, helpful and well groomed. I hope the comment is not driven due to the fact that I was accompanied by 2 beautiful female students who escorted me along for a tour around the faculties and campus, and even drove me to the hotel… But seriously, it is a good memory and worth exploring. And I do hope they still maintain the same level of professionalism until today. The presence of the Residence Hotel inside the campus makes life much easier for those who travel from out station.
Named UNITEN Career Carnival 2008, this year’s event promises to be a bigger and better event. It is a-month long stretch, consisting of a number of mini events and workshops before ending with the Career Fair on 25 and 26 February 2008. The career fair is organized by the UNITEN’s Career Unit, which is a division responsible to bridge the graduating students with the employment world. This is an imperative measure considering that joining the workforce fresh from the education world needs adaptation and guidance, otherwise students and job seekers tend to get lost, and become clueless on their way.
