You need to have Visa in order to study in UK for more than six months (not required if less than six months). You need to know how you can get Visa in order to study in UK.
Point Based System
Point Based System is designed to measure whether one is suitable to study, train or work in UK. There are 5 tiers in Point Based System. You need to gain a certain amount of points (depending on your tier), before you are allowed to enter UK.
Tier 1: for highly skilled individuals, who can contribute to growth and productivity.
Tier 2: for skilled workers with a job offer, to fill gaps in the United Kingdom workforce.
Tier 3: for limited numbers of low-skilled workers needed to fill temporary labour shortages (currently suspended).
Tier 4: for students.
Tier 5: for temporary workers and young people covered by the Youth Mobility Scheme, who are allowed to work in the United Kingdom for a limited time to satisfy primarily non-economic objectives.

You need to visit UK Visa Application Centre (VFS) in order to apply for Visa.

How much Visa is going to cost you?
For student (Dependant of student applicant): RM 849 (rate is not fixed)

How long it takes to process Visa application?
Processing time is different, depending on individuals. It takes 5 working days to submit your application (the data) and up to 12 weeks for settlement of Visa application.
Therefore, you need to make early preparation for your Visa application, months before entering UK for your study.
