KLK or Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad is a public listed company with diverse core business operations in manufacturing, plantation, retail and property development and has also, in recent years expanded into resource-based manufacturing encompassing oleochemicals as well as rubber and cocoa processing.

The plantation remains as one of the company’s largest contributors, having a land size in excess of 350,000 acres throughout Peninsula Malaysia, Sabah and the neighboring Indonesia.

Yayasan KLK Scholarship was established to provide scholarship opportunity to students and graduates coming from the lower income group who wish to pursue tertiary education in Diploma or Degree. At the moment, the scholarship is extended only for those enrolling into public institutions in Malaysia. Upon graduation, the benefactors also stand a chance to be extended with employment opportunity in KLK.

In the award, an amount of RM7,000 will be given to Degree students while the Diploma students are allocated RM5,000 per academic year. Field of studies given preference are Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Accountancy and Chemistry.

To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Recorded good results academically i.e. min 2As for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) or 3.5 CGPA for foundation
• Possess good command, both in writing and speaking, of English and Bahasa Malaysia languages, with active participation in extra curricular programs and activities
• Candidates must be able to show documents/evidence of a confirmed acceptance from the tertiary institution or university, and is not accepting/or have accepted other scholarship award
• Prepared with possibility of serving the company for a period of 3 years, and willing to be located within the company’s jurisdiction
