Question: I would like to know if the newly operating DELL in Cyberjaya is currently recruiting? Thanks.
Answer: You can expect a massive hiring and recruiting program anytime from now by DELL as their Cyberjaya facility is aimed to be fully operational by year end. The number of work staff is expected to be in the region of 600 to 1000 people.
In fact, at the moment, they already have a smaller scale of operation there and you can start applying either by engaging with those headhunters and recruitment agencies or sending your application directly. This is Dell’s second massive investment after building their factory in Penang in 1995. The plant currently makes all its notebook PCs, as well as many of its desktop machines for the United States and Asia markets.
Most of the vacancies available are IT Support related jobs for DELL customers worldwide, mainly through remote (phone and PC) monitoring and support. Apart from that, the center will also become an engineering and development support.

Question: Hi, I have been working in the shipyard line for 7 years. I am currently searching for jobs in offshore line. Can I get some tips on how I can successfully get a job in this line?
Answer: You probably know better than me on this. The 2 lines are different but with a lot of similarity. I suggest capitalize your network with those people in your line first, and later expand to your network’s network. The offshore itself is a wide area and you did not tell exactly what specialization you are in. However, to give a jump start, there are quite a number of offshore jobs related website. Do check them out.
