In view of our rapid expansion, we are creating a new Open Source System (OSS) division within the company to spearhead exciting and innovative development of OSS solutions for several vertical industries.

Job vacancy: Collaboration & Policy Manager, Cyberjaya

Responsibilities

To provide business and technical consultancy in OSS to assist in strategic and tactical planning activities to customers in positioning OSS in their overall business plan
To formulate and recommend strategic and tactical OSS initiatives and targets to meet customer’s desired objectives
To coordinate, monitor and review the implementation of recommended OSS initiatives and targets
To work with sales & marketing team to identify and develop potential sales opportunities for OSS products/solutions
Ensure high-level of customer satisfaction through high quality deliverables, excellent customer support and proactive engagement
To establish and maintain strong relations with the OSS partner community - both domestically and internationally
To provide strong technical leadership and direction to team members
To assist in planning and budgeting activities for the division

Requirements

Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience in a pre-sales or technical role related to OSS technologies or solutions
Passionate about OSS and very keen to keep abreast with new and latest developments in OSS industry
Knowledge in OSS technologies such as RedHat Enterprise Linux, SuSE Linux, MySQL, PostgreSQL, OpenBSD, Apache, Astaro, Snort, OpenOffice, OpenVPN, Perl, Ruby, PHP and/or operations or practical experience in OSS technologies will be a strong advantage
Possession of accredited OSS certifications such as RHCE/RHCT, LPIC, SCLP/SCLE etc will be advantageous
The candidate should have great personality, outstanding attitude, good interpersonal skills, well-dressed and well-groomed and able to handle customers well
Must be well-organized, independent, take initiatives, detailed and able to meet tight deadlines
Excellent coordination, communication, written and presentation skills
Must be Malaysian citizen
