Position: Economist, Miri, Sarawak

You will be responsible to evaluate the economic impact in development, production as well as exploration projects. You will need to develop and maintain economic models for respective Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) for the yearly Business Plan. You are also required to derive and analyze the Intrinsic Business Value of the Malaysian asset and assess the economic justification of the Group Investment Proposal.

To qualify, you need to have a Degree in Engineering, Geosciences, Economic or other related areas. Preferences will be given to those who possess a technical degree (e.g. Engineering, Geosciences) and at least 5 years experience in oil and gas industry. You will also need to have a good understanding of key economic theories and principles. Those with excellent command of MS Excel Spreadsheet and knowledge of Visual Basic is highly appreciated.
