We are a company specializing in manufacturing of plastic components for electrical, electronic, telecommunication and automotive uses.

Job vacancy: IT Engineer (Prai, Penang)

Responsibilities :

Install, implement, support and troubleshoot various systems including hardware, software and LAN
perform assignment with a high degree of independence and maybe required to provide some guidance to operations users
provide support towards operations whenever necessary
provide support on two sites
report to site operation manager and HQ IT Head of Dept

Requirements :

degree in computer science or related field with min. 2 years working experience in manufacturing environment or similar
basic business knowledge required
hardware and software installation (WinXP, Win 2003 and Windows NT)
installation and supporting of word processor, e-mail and other office automation systems
troubleshooting on LAN cabling, PC workstations and IT peripherals
installation and configuration of network equipment such as modem, routers and switches
knowledge in intermediate networking
strong analytical skills
project management skills preferable
able to work independently with minimum supervision
good inter-personality and positive attitude (compulsory)
able to support ad-hoc on-call after working hours
adhere to corporate discipline practice
local site travelling required
possess own transport
