Job vacancy: Java Application Developer, UPM-MTDC Serdang

Job Description

Design, develop and maintain a web-based application using J2EE framework. The candidate will work in Semantic environment. Involvements in:
• Support team members in the continuous effort to enhance and upgrade the application to support changes in the business environment.
• Assist in the project software development life-cycle.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in IT/Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 3 years work experience, preferably in Semantics or related industry

Required Skills and Responsibilities

• Must have strong interest in software development.
• Highly skilled in Java programming language with minimum 1 years hands-on experience.
• For senior positions must have a proven track record of delivering at least three projects developed on a J2EE platform.
• Familiar with Apache Web Server, Tomcat and deployment of Java application.
• Familiar with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), at least PostgresSQL & MySQL Server.
• Experience in Semantic or any other related application is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess own transport.
• Experience / knowledge of Semantic technology i.e RDF, RDFS is an advantage.
• Salary Per Month: Depending on experience
• Department: Software Research & Development
• For the non-Malaysian or foreigner workers, we need at least 2 years related working experience in related field.
• Good working attitude and able to work without fully supervise by superior
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Candidate possess Biological knowledge is an advantages.
• Possess own transport

Successful candidates will work either on a 1 year contract or permanent basis.
