The Institute of Noise & Vibration is a centre of excellence of the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia established in 1990 for the study and research & development of sound and vibration. The Institute undertakes contract research, consultancy and testing services, postgraduate studies and technology dissemination of vibration, noise and acoustics. It is recognised as a referral centre by the industry and government agencies (Dept of Environment, Dept of Occupational Safety and Health, Malaysian Highway Authority) for noise & vibration in the country.
